  • Gas detection/ measurement devices have to be provided on site by the customer according to the expected hazardous substances.

LEARNING CONTENT

The Skylotec course for entering containers and working in confined spaces ensures that the following content is taught in accordance with the requirements of the professional associations:

  • instruction in the legal bases as well as insurance-technical defaults of the industrial safety for entering & work in confined spaces;
  • mediation of the terms and definitions;
  • information about the design of the workplace and resource planning;
  • site preparation (preventive risk analysis);
  • preparation of temporary anchor systems EN 795-B;
  • special risk assessment requirements for entering & working in confined spaces;
  • instruction in special hazards caused by the local conditions and the activity;
  • information and awareness raising about the danger of oxygen deficiency and excess oxygen;
  • information about the necessity and theoretical implementation examples for gas measuring;
  • securing the workplace;
  • protective measures against hazardous substances and hazardous media;
  • emptying and disconnecting of containers, silos and narrow spaces;
  • extraction from horizontal confined spaces;
  • extrication;
  • possibilities and effectiveness of ventilation;

  • handling of transportable silos;
  • certification of technical qualification for gas detection;
  • certification of use of respiratory protection;
  • certification of correct use of personal protective equipment against falls from a height.

If required, we can also create a risk assessment in addition to your rescue concept, please refer to the module “Rescue Concept & Risk Analysis”. The training for entering & working in confined spaces is only an extension for the correct use of personal protective equipment against falls from a height. It covers only the specific equipment for working and rescue from confined spaces

CERTIFICATE AND VALIDITY PERIOD
