COURSE DESCRIPTION
Upon completion of the course participants will be certified as Skylotec train the user with competences in Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) inspection, Milan basic/advanced user training and Milan service level 2. The course will be a blend of theoretical and practical assignments with ongoing evaluation and assessment. Final assessment will be in the form of practical and written workshops. Written assessment is for instructor/ student evaluation and will not form a pass or fail decision.

TRAINING LOCATIONS
In house: the training can take place in different Skylotec certified training centers globally. Two locations are present in Italy:
- via Torchio, 9 / 24034 Cisano Bergamasco (BG);
- via Garibaldi, 20 / 36034 Malo (VI).
Onsite: The training can also be also delivered directly at customer´s facilities globally.
TARGET GROUP
Training providers and Skylotec VRC wishing to train end users with Skylotec Milan rescue devices. Service level 2 certification will be restricted to ‘in house’ service activity only, these services cannot be sold to third party customers unless the client is to be an approved service agent.
PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENTS
- All personnel participating in Skylotec training shall be medically fit and capable of fully participating.
- It is an expectation that the participant will be an instructor with more than 100 hours teaching experience and hold a current Working at height and First aid certificate. PPE competent person certificate will be a prerequisite.
- Any students not following house rules set by the Skylotec Master instructor or found to be under influence of any narcotic substance including alcohol shall be removed from the course.
LEARNING CONTENT
Training outcomes of this course is to give the participants the knowledge and skills through theoretical and practical training to:
- demonstrate correct identification of PPE, including identification of European/Global standard markings e.g. harness, helmet, lanyards, etc.
- demonstrate the knowledge and skills to inspect, store and don the relevant PPE, e.g. harness, lanyards, fall arresters and work positioning equipment;
- demonstrate correct use of the relevant PPE, e.g. harnesses, lanyards, fall arresters and work positioning equipment. This includes correct identification of anchor points and correct ladder conduct;
- demonstrate and understand how to treat a casualty suspected to have suspension trauma;
- demonstrate how use the Milan range in a basic rescue situation including casualty care;
- demonstrate the use of the Milan range in an advanced rescue situation above the level of basic height rescue;
- train to Milan service level 2 demonstrating a complete understanding of service activity, frequency and restrictions;
- certification will be awarded after final assessment. Continuous assessment techniques will be applied by the Master instructor running the course.
CERTIFICATE AND VALIDITY PERIOD
- Every participant that has successfully completed the course will be given a certificate.
- The certificate is valid for 1 year.
- Annual Re-Assessment is necessary.
- The certificate will be issued after the training.
- Training may be delivered by an external approved Skylotec Master Instructor however assessment must be conducted by a Skylotec Master or Lead instructor.
