COURSE DESCRIPTION
Upon completion of the course participants will possess an awareness of the hazards encountered when working at heights with fall arrest and work positioning lanyards additional to their full body harness and how to control and mitigate these hazards. This training will also equip participants with the knowledge, skills and confidence to appropriately respond in the event of an emergency and to increase their safety through proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), emergency equipment and procedures. The main goal of this training is that each participant know how to perform a perfect rescue from a height.

TRAINING LOCATIONS
In house: the training can take place in different Skylotec certified training centers globally. Two locations are present in Italy:
- via Torchio, 9 / 24034 Cisano Bergamasco (BG);
- via Garibaldi, 20 / 36034 Malo (VI).
Onsite: The training can also be also delivered directly at customerĀ“s facilities globally.
TARGET GROUP
Personnel working at heights or related fields. All personnel wearing harnesses and using fall prevention systems.
PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENTS
- To be in good physical condition, according to the international or national legislation.
- Do not be in health conditions that prevent safe work nor be under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
- Be in possession of a medical certificate of physical fitness/sign a self-certification statement of physical fitness at the beginning of the course.
LEARNING CONTENT
Training outcomes of this course is to give the participants the basic knowledge and skills through theoretical and practical training to:
- Demonstrate knowledge of hazards and risks associated with working at height specific to a wind turbine generator;
- Demonstrate correct identification of PPE, including identification of European/Global standard markings e.g. harness, helmet, lanyards, etc.
- Demonstrate the knowledge and skills to correctly inspect, service, store and don the relevant PPE, e.g. harness, lanyards, fall arresters and work positioning equipment.
- Demonstrate the correct use of the relevant PPE, e.g. harnesses, lanyards, fall arresters and work positioning equipment. This includes correct identification of anchor points and correct ladder conduct.
- Demonstrate the correct way to minimize suspension trauma.
- Demonstrate the use of emergency equipment.
- Demonstrate a rescue from a height.
CERTIFICATE AND VALIDITY PERIOD
- Every participant that has successfully completed the course will be given a certificate.
- The certificate is valid for 1 year.
- Annual Re-Assessment is necessary.
- The certificate will be issued after the training.
